Thank you for reading Jasini’s Thoughts and Ideas
I keep hoping we’ve turned the corner, and things are starting to get better. Then weeks like last one happen.
First, it is very hot. Not the hottest I’ve seen it, but still hotter than I can handle easily. And somewhat humid. I’m spending as much as I can inside. It’s amazing, on hot days like this past week, setting the air at 80° feels quite good.
We’ve got a mini-split heater/air conditioner in our bedroom that the past few years has been leaking every time it’s hot and humid. We can’t afford to have anyone come and fix it, so we just gather up the water and pour it out. Lately we’ve been getting a gallon or two a day.
Last week my tablet decided to act really weird, as if the touchscreen were being activated when it wasn’t. I thought that perhaps some water had splashed on it (see above), but I kept cleaning up the screen, so that probably wasn’t fully it. I do think that was part of it, since it behaved itself a couple days later.
My phone also was doing weird stuff, but a second reboot seemed to have fixed it.
My Surface (my main computer) has really been getting hot and slowing down and doing odd things (like not bringing up the emoji menu). I hoped that letting it sit unused for a couple of days might let it cool down to a point that it would work longer again, but apparently not.
My backup laptop from a few years ago will not turn on. The light on the cord turns on, the light on the computer next to the cord turns on, but the laptop itself does not.
Between the last two items, it will make finishing editing my book very difficult. I’m hoping the computer will behave itself better once the weather cools again.
And on the same day that this all happened, the Google mini stopped working (two resets and a reboot got it back to normal), and the washer wouldn’t finish a wash cycle (a filter that needs to be emptied every few months hadn’t been emptied in a few months.)
So, on that day, all my technology was rebelling. Some of it still is.
I’m hoping to put another section of Tolly and Glorina up tomorrow. But if I don’t, know it wasn’t because I forgot.
Also, we have another round of drama going on again. I know, we seem to collect it. (Or my husband does. I tend to be invisible. Walked into, having doors shut in my face, having my statements and emotions credited to my husband. Or demerited, whichever).
This particular round of drama should hopefully be over on Monday, maybe Tuesday. Then we should at least be able to celebrate the holiday without shouting.
Thank you for listening.

Have you looked online to see if anyone's made a video about unclogging hidden drains on that type?
There's usually an obvious one, and a not-obvious one.
It's almost as if Microsoft and apple are being remotely tampered with, right?
