I need to keep going on all the things I have started. I think there have been improvements in many areas of our lives (and digging out all my auld notebooks to type them up is a definite sign of improvement, as well as setting aside times to write). Also bizarre setbacks in weird areas. Things that we thought we had covered to come back to bite us. And what’s worse, suddenly getting attacked by people we thought we could trust. And who won’t even tell us why.

Money remains tight, but at times we think we can see through the glass darkly something up ahead where we’ll have a bit of an excess again. One keeps praying. Then we get hit again, but the hits seem to be getting smaller.

The year ahead, who knows what will happen? If the country can survive without getting into a civil war, it will be good. Or perhaps not, if they just keep pushing the problems out there without solving them.

Which, come to think of it, is part of the problem that keeps resurfacing in our lives. We want to actually solve problems between ourselves and others, and they just want to paper it over until it blows up larger later.

But a lot can happen in a year, expected, unexpected, joy, sorrow, the blessing of the Lord turning up in unforeseen (and usually weird) ways.
