Once again the universe decided to knock us down. It’s not really anything all that bad, but something we thought was resolved has come back to bite us again. And all unnecessarily. The person who has decided to be our adversary had already won. There was no need for her to put herself (and us) through this. If she wins, she gains nothing. If she loses, she loses nothing. We just have a month to stew before anything happens. So we are schooling ourselves to remain calm. If we’re lucky, we’ll be able to get our side told. Not that anyone will listen. In the complaint, she has made it clear, that though an intelligent and educated woman, she cannot read what is clearly written, and assumes that something that was said meant exactly the opposite.
Sorry for vague-posting. I’ve probably already said more than I should. But I felt the need to vent.
So between fretting about that, and fretting about the weather, I’ve done very little.
The snow they were predicting (4-8 inches) fizzled, leaving us just a trace of the new stuff. We still have a couple inches of snow from the storm earlier in the week. And it’s turned super-cold. Like 4° as the high. My husband (Sir Rhodri in the future) is concerned that he won’t be able to keep the plants in the greenhouse from freezing even with several heaters out there.
He posted a short video of the beginnings of his cauliflower, which may not make it to being full grown:

So, we’re trying to keep warm, and I’m still planning on not going anywhere that I don’t have to until the cold breaks.
So, in Missouri usually the snow only lasts a few days. However, since we’re going to have at least a week of super-cold weather, I’m expecting the snow to compact a bit, but still be here for at least that long.
I've recently been in a situation where it was assumed that those accusing me were absolutely correct, so no one bothered to even ask for my side of the story. Extremely frustrating! In these cases, bitterness and unforgiveness are the true enemies; fight them off, and you will have won, regardless of what happens in the "actual" situation. Be strong and courageous!
I think you may have missed one thing: if she loses she DOES stand to lose something:
1} her oven knowledge/assurance that she is right.
2) more plausibly, she would give us a legitimately recognized authority who doubts her narrative, and can thus can be used to debunk her lies to her own supporters. (Since she is the one who invoked the authority, she can't allege they shouldn't be listened to).
If she wins she only gains more justification for her fantasy. Perhaps she isn't as confident of herself as she appears
