Thank you for reading Jasini’s Thoughts and Ideas
We went over to the courthouse this morning for our ex parte hearing, and as we approached the door, a whole crowd (small crowd, but still) was walking away from it. Turns out there was an “electrical problem”, and the building was closed. The security guard inside told us (and everyone else) this.
Probably just closed to us outsiders.
We thought that was weird, since they definitely had electricity inside.
Turns out the “electrical problem” wasn’t at the courthouse, but at wherever they host the server for the whole judicial branch of the state. So, they couldn’t hold court at all (or do any of their other functions) since they couldn’t get on their computers.
I’m sure our forefathers would be puzzled by this statement.
So, later this morning, we got a call that they rescheduled our hearing for July 15 (another Monday). So, two more weeks with things up in the air.
We’ll get there, though.
Got a good long rain this morning. I’m not sure how much, but it was coming down pretty hard as we drove up to the courthouse, and walked from the car up. And pretty much walk immediately back. We weren’t soaked, but did get wet enough to notice it.
At least the heat I was complaining about last week, or longer ago, has gone back down to seasonal, or possibly even lower, levels.
And I don’t really care what some people on Facebook try to say. I am perfectly capable of complaining both about the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter.
