Thank you for reading Jasini’s Thoughts and Ideas
Note: I asked Bing Images for “Showers of Blessings”. I know this is a generic prompt, but I wanted to see what it came up with. More images at the end.
Yet another week when I have nearly wasted the previous week by not feeling well. There are reasons for this. I think one is that I have a tooth that either needs to be pulled or have a root canal. The last time that happened, I was sick frequently, and tired. I was also working open at McD’s, which contributed to the tiredness considerably. I didn’t mind the work, really, though I think it probably was more fun in retrospect. If I could have started at 6 am rather than 4, I would have been happy.
Friday night, after having spent most of the day in bed, sleeping and reading, I got a text at the very end of the day that the doctor’s appointment we had scheduled for this morning was canceled. It was too late to call that night to reschedule, so we had to do that this morning. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been to a doctor, and we do need to get several things taken care of.
Saturday, I could get up and do a thing or two, then needed to sit back down, or lie down, before I could get up and do things again. The dishes had really gotten out of control at that point. Yesterday and today I’m feeling better, and the dishes are almost caught up again.
So is the laundry.
And Grammarly really doesn’t like how much I use the word “really”. Maybe I should listen to it.
I’ve added a tip button to my posts, hoping to get a little bit of a cash flow going. Which means that I need to stop being sick so that I can provide commentary that people think is worth tipping for. I don’t think my Tolly & Glorina story is enough, though I have enough of that typed up to last a long time. My other stories haven’t been typed up yet, and there are fewer of them than I remember, so I need to get cracking on that, so I can stop giving you these woe-is-me slice-of-life posts and actually put something out that’s fun.
Meanwhile, I keep getting my flow interrupted by having to rotate the laundry. (Imagine living in such an era that doing laundry consists of moving laundry from one machine to another, instead of hours and hours of backbreaking work.) Then there’s the guy that thinks the best way to get someone’s attention is to honk his horn repeatedly. And a few minutes later do it again. I swear, if he does it again, and I’m anywhere near a door, I’m going to run out there and ask him if he was born in a barn!

Note: All I changed was the style. The basic prompt was the same.
I actually really enjoy your woe-is-me slice-of-life posts.
